Located in the immediate vicinity of the Bydlit apartments, Ivanovický Brook flows through Brno and the Brno-Country District. It is 11.2 km long, flows mainly southward, and joins the Svratka River as a left tributary in Rajhrad.
Its source is a network of stormwater drains that drain the Brno-Slatina district. The brook itself emerges at an altitude of 242 meters near the Vlárská railway in the Černovická Terasa industrial zone, flows through a corner of the Černovice cadastral area, and enters the Brno-Tuřany district.
There, a retention reservoir (dry polder) has been built on the brook to capture high flows. The brook then passes under the D1 highway and flows through Brněnské Ivanovice and Holásky. After Holásky, the Černovický Brook flows into it, followed by the Tuřanský Brook near Chrlice. Near the Brno wastewater treatment plant, it passes under the D2 highway, heads south, and flows past Rebešovice. It then runs parallel to the Svratka River, into which it empties at an altitude of 184 meters at the border of Rajhrad and Rajhradičky.
Near the apartments, there is access to one of Brno's main cycling paths, the Svitava Route, which is part of the confluence trail of the Svratka and Svitava Rivers. The route passes under the D2 highway bridge along the Svitava River up to the waterworks facility on the border of the Brno-Jih and Brno-Tuřany districts, where it crosses the Svitava River via a new concrete footbridge.
Within close reach of the Bydlit apartments, thanks to the accessible cycling path, is the Komec Sports Complex. It offers facilities for a variety of leisure activities and is located right along this popular Svratka cycling route.
Inside the building, there are indoor and outdoor climbing walls as well as a bouldering area. In addition to the climbing walls, the building includes a Bistro Bar with comfortable seating for up to 50 people. During the spring, summer, and autumn months, an outdoor covered garden is open, accommodating up to 150 guests.
The entire building is air-conditioned in the summer, and underfloor heating provides warmth in the winter. The complex includes three tennis courts and two multifunctional courts, where ball games ranging from small-sided soccer to basketball can be played.
For skateboarding enthusiasts, a skatepark is available free of charge. All sports facilities offer the option of evening lighting.
An essential part of the sports complex is the Komec rental service, catering to both beginners and advanced users. It offers inline skates, electric longboards, off-road electric longboards, electric scooters, hoverboards, children's scooters and skateboards, a retro bicycle, electric unicycle, and children's electric motorcycles.
The complex also features a tall chimney, atop which a viewing tower was built after renovation.
The 25-meter-high tower is accessed via 154 steps, 117 of which form a spiral staircase around the chimney. This brilliant idea—turning an old chimney into an adrenaline-filled viewing tower over Brno instead of demolishing it—must truly be appreciated. The view is especially spectacular in the evening atmosphere.
The tower is an official tourist site, where you can obtain tourist stamps, postcards, and visitor cards for your travel journal.
Along the mentioned cycling route is the popular golf club KŠÍROVKA with a golf academy, simulators, mini-golf, a fitness studio, and a café with a bistro.
The Kšírovka complex offers fun for not only golf enthusiasts but also children. Visitors can enjoy footgolf, mini-golf, or the newly built Hopsálkov playground, designed for children, adults, cyclists, inline skaters, and walkers alike.
